Our young hurlers had a very exciting victory
against Ráth Mhór/ Gleann Fleisce on Friday night last. Micheál Ó Meachair( cúl báire) and his gallant defenders played with
great heart and kept the strong opposition at bay on numerous occasions. Adam Mac Seoin kept the defence steady and was
expertly aided by Paddy Fitzgibbon and J. Mac Connbhuí. The outstanding midfield paring of Ciarán Ó Conaill and Conor
Jordan, scorer of a lovely point, gave powerful leadership and showed good skill ó thosach go deireadh an chluiche. It
was Ciarán's opening goal that settled our nerves and allowed us to hurl better. Our new ''find'', Johnny Ó Nualláin
played very well in his central foward position and he was given great support by Nathan de Róiste, who gave of his best from
start to finish. A decisive goal was scored in the second half by Breandán Caball who chased every ball with determaination.
Ciarán's hard-earned point late in the game ensured that we emerged with a two point winning margin.Well done to
substitutes Breandán Ó Briain and Jason Ó Tíocháin. It was a joy to see a plaque being presented to a group of hurlers
from the The Rock
